This is the actual “website builder” that we’re looking at here. No matter how good the template you choose is you will definitely need to do a least some customization in order to get your site looking the way you like. So an easy-to-use and intuitive website builder is a must. You want something that offers the ability to make the changes you want, and that doesn’t require you to spend hours learning how to do it.
One of my favourite things about ClickFunnels is that their pages come with built-in metrics trackers, so you can see how many people have checked out your landing page and taken action (for example, submitted their info, opted-in, and/or watched a video, etc). That makes it easy breezy to track and/or split test and improve your analytics.
Weebly also gives you the ability to edit the HTML and CSS codes to the templates. This is hugely beneficial for you to customize your design extensively if you know how to code (or if you are working with a coder). This feature is optional for more advanced users.
Compared to ClickFunnels, Infusionsoft offers substantially more email marketing power and a greater range of landing page design options, but lacks some of the funnel building features of ClickFunnels.
Check out Thrive Themes, by all means. One time fee or yearly membership options. Every possible add-on and plug-in you can image for developing landing pages and more. A/B testing, webinars via Facebook, timers, contests, quizzes, comments, testimonials etc.
Are any of the top three you recommended, also viable for non commercial use, i.e. personal use? Just looking to share information with friends and family, or would you recommend that one take web development classes at a local community collage?
Some of the elements you can add to your landing pages in ClickFunnels include videos, which can be configured to autoplay whenever a user reaches your landing page, and live countdown timers that create a sense of urgency and improve conversions.
I get asked this question a lot and there’s no real answer. The sales funnel that makes you the most money is the funnel that works. If you can put together an amazing offer, provide value to people, maximize your customer value, and be profitable… then your funnel is working.
SEO – Wix allows you to edit page meta tags, page names, and much of your basic SEO musts. However, because WIX is so unrestrictedly drag-and-drop, the coding of the site can be pretty jumbled, meaning it is potentially harder for Google, Bing, etc. to crawl through the digital info on your site to improve your ranking.
Hi, Sorry to bother but I am hoping to start a small website for a club. I know this is a bit of a ridiculous thing to ask, but our club isn’t funded are there any website makers that don’t charge monthly fees? It doesn’t have to be amazing or extremely professional. I was hoping to stay away from tumblr but i am having trouble finding anything.
If you want a responsive website, you should take a look at Squarespace. Even though they don’t have a template specific for your industry, their templates can be adapted to suit your own design needs. They also allow you to modify CSS codes so you can customize some design to a certain extent.
The menu that you’re seeing deployed on this page is created automatically. When you create your lessons this stylish menu is automatically created for you. Theres nothing from stopping you from getting this done.
I want to set a website where clients can see who I am, what I do and contact me. They will not purchase anything from the site. It whould be pretty basic……one page and button for email What would you suggest?
Websites made using these website builders are developed with SEO factors firmly in mind. Most of these builders help you create websites with sitemaps, SEO friendly HTML formatting, responsive designs, meta descriptions, title and image tags, and page specific descriptions. Some of them even offer SEO wizards to help you quickly set basic search engine optimizations settings up.
Just a few short years ago, building a website for your business, to share your hobbies, or just for whatever reasons, you either had to learn how to code, learn how to get hosting services to get your website up, and all sorts of technical mumbo jumbo that majority of the people either don’t have the time or interest to learn.
The editor is very intuitive and you can edit the text elements inline. Everything is organized in a logical way, so you won’t waste time searching for the things that you want to do. As an added bonus, there is no coding required!
When you get your domain name, you own it and can take it with you if you decide to change websites builders. Just make sure you pay your annual registration fee going forward! All website builder services that give you a domain name use some sort of domain name registrar partner. So you can either continue to use their service (the domain name registrar that is), or you can transfer your domain name to other domain name registrars such as GoDaddy.
I think Jimdo is great, but as I noted in the footnotes (specifically footnote 9), the scoring is based on a simple average and should not be taken literally without reading the detailed review that we’ve written up for Jimdo. Based purely on the scoring, the main reasons why Squarespace looks better are due to it having more SEO related flexibility and also the caliber of themes that it provides. Functionally, I think Jimdo is also great, but just lacking a bit behind in these two aspects.
With Wix, their lowest paid plan is just over $4 per month, and they provide you with the ability to connect your own domain name with the website, and also provides you with hosting services. Don’t forget that you will also get the benefit of using new features when they release them. So it’s not too high of a monthly plan.
If you get a free domain name from Squarespace, you actually own it and so you can take it with you even if you decide to leave the platform. You just have to make sure you pay the annual registrar fee so you get to keep the domain name.
With Wix, Weebly and Squarespace, you can list a lot of products and have multiple variations for each product (so you can sell a version of a pen that has different variations of colors, for instance).
We use Amazon Cloud Solutions to ensure that your website is accessible from any Internet connection at blazing fast speeds. Data centers across the country help bring your content quickly and swiftly at optimum speed.
Wix offers you a Site Manager functionality, wherein you can see Site History, that’s different versions of the website made on the basis of edits made by different collaborators. You can easily restore the website to the version you want. Jimdo also offers an easy to use backup and restore option.
One nice bonus that I didn’t know about is that ClickFunnels will buy you your first domain name for free and even set up SSL on it for you. You can learn how to do this from the first game in the onboarding training.
When it comes to websites, online marketing, lead generation and sales funnels the same is true. In my experience leading an INC. 5000 listed company, I noticed that whenever our subscription payments to different online accounts went up on our budget, our productivity weakened.

If you want a functional mobile site, any of the top 3 website builders we highlighted above will work. Squarespace’s templates are all mobile responsive, so they look great across all mobile devices. Wix and Weebly has their own mobile editors. But Wix has a lot more design templates for you to choose from than Weebly. But out of all 3 of them, Weebly has the easiest user interface.
You don’t have to stare at your calendar to keep track of new appointments. Your GoCentral website or store can send you a text or email any time you get a new booking. Think of it as a reminder of how great your business is doing.
I think it’s generally agreed that length (12 or more characters) provides more security than complexity (requiring upper & case, numbers, and symbols). Password-cracking tools can easily cycle through all the characters you can type, so you’re fooling yourself into thinking you’re more secure if, for example, you threw some capital letters into the mix, or you changed the letter “i” to a one, or the letter “o” to a zero.
Jeremy, thank you for your reply. This is a frustration that I recently encountered and didn’t know if your research came across this piece of information. Your article, overall, was very helpful and gave a good overview of the systems. I know what I had asked was stretching the scope of the article a bit.
I am looking to create a website for my handmade soap business. I don’t need anything really fancy, just simple to use and I would like a shopping cart that paypal can be used with. I have never created a website and I don’t even know what I should really be looking for in a site to create what I need. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated!
The simple drag & drop feature makes it easy to visualize and design the pages, most of which are responsive by default. Almost every element of the numerous available templates can be customized, and you can add a variety of forms to multiple landing pages at once.
You should also consider whether you would like to learn how to use WordPress effectively as it has a much higher learning curve than using drag and drop web builders such as Weebly. On the other side of the coin, WordPress is a lot more flexible and customizable, if you have the technical knowledge (codes) or have the resources to hire someone to help you do that.
With a mobile responsive design (where the desktop version of your website is automatically re-arranges itself to fit nicely into a mobile device), you don’t have to edit for a separate mobile website so it saves you a bit of time. The drawback, is that you don’t have control over your mobile display.
