Until the 99/1 method outlined below is updated to support CF Cart Mode, this 80/20 method is my favorite because I have full control. (it’s been updated as of 7DEC2017! Can’t recommend AppTrends enough!)
So instead of having the landing page directly on your site, you will typically create a subdomain and point that to Clickfunnels. That means that if your site was called “awesomeness.com”, you could create a “flow.awesomeness.com” and point that domain to Clickfunnels and have all your Clickfunnels pages being served from that.

The reason why we would compare ClickFunnels to LeadPages in the first place has to do with conversions. The question that you should be asking yourself isn’t to be subjective. This doesn’t have to do with my opinion or another’s opinion. This has to do with conversions. Which platform is going to help you increase conversions? That’s the real question. Yes, support and features and integrations matter. All of those things are a means to an end. They’re simply a conduit towards conversions.
Thank you..this was most helpful. I’m confused about the webinar service….do I still need a webinar service like gotowebinar or webinar jam? Or is there already a webinar service (live and automated) included in clickfunnels?
I’m not (quite!) suggesting that you should go to the extreme of ditching your website altogether yet, as Russell Brunson and the guys at ClickFunnels suggest, but it’s definitely worth focusing on your funnels above everything else.
My Channel is all about documenting the unglamours journey of the “Hustle + Grind + Hard Work”, the true essence of being an entrepreneur. I haven’t made it yet. I use Igloo myself, but converzly sounds like it’d be worth it to switch over just because it builds your pages/funnels, hosts those pages for you so you don’t have to pay for hosting, and then writes your sales copy for you. Pretty cool stuff, hope this helps
The Clickfunnels version 2.0 is a pretty big re-write from the beta version that I original worked with (and wrote about). So a lot of the “beta bugs” have been ironed out. So they are really working hard on getting the system perfect.
Free Website Builder | Create a Free Website | WIX.com – a very simple tool that allows you to create pages. seems ‘free’ but actually you will need to pay if you want your own custom domain. so you will end up paying here, then there, then here again, etc… what appeared free actually isn’t and just gave you more of a headache running after all these in the first place. you can build some websites, but if you are looking to build funnels, this will also cause some complications as you will need to go from one page to another manually and link them to each other, which will take a bit of time and editing.
With our video integration, you can embed videos on any of your funnel pages from sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, and others. If the video you want to add is already online elsewhere, you can also just paste the video URL, and you can also upload any videos you want to add directly from your computer.
The Advanced plan is only available for annual subscription and costs $199/month for a year’s subscription and $159/month if you pay for 2 years upfront. You can visit the pricing page for a full comparison of pricing and features.

This all in one principle for ClickFunnels includes hosting too. With ClickFunnels your hosting is included. With Thrive Themes you need your own. Compared to the price difference between The Thrive Membership and ClickFunnels, getting your own hosting is an inexpensive extra step, and as you’ll read in the Website and Blog section of this comparison, the hosting provided by ClickFunnels is a double edged sword.
In the past this would require you to have a website, hosting, an autoresponder service, landing page software, split-testing software, membership site software, and probably a host of designers and programmers to cobble the whole lot together. ClickFunnels lets do all of that in one platform.
You can however easily split test your landing pages based on an array of different conversion goals, including revenue, visiting a specific page and subscriptions. Thrive Optimize integrates with Thrive Apprentice to allow you to seamlessly edit and A/B test different page variations.
In this example, I simply choose the funnel called Automated Webinar, however there are many more funnel templates like the “Launch Funnel” that gives you a complete Jeff Walker style launch funnel complete with optin page, three free value video pages and one sales page.
Make the customer feel secure as they’re checking out. Your checkout page shouldn’t differ too much from the design scheme on the rest of the site. People should fee like they are on the same website.
Thanks for this tutorial, Shane. One question – on your opt-in, confirmation and downloads page there are no links to the rest of the website, and this is true for my pages too. By default in my theme, each page includes a Menu bar at the top, but it would appear that the use of TCB overrides this. Do you recommend having links to the rest of the site, and if so how is this done in TCB? Is there a way to add the default menu in? As my pages stand, there is no way for people to access the rest of my site. Many thanks in advance, Mark
Yes. ClickFunnels is the market leader to a reason. You will save both time and money by using it. The full ClickFunnels package will give you everything you need for just one price, so you will be able to cancel some of the other third party service you may currently be using and take on some of the more complicated technical tasks yourself with ease, saving money on programmers and designers. The training, support and free funnels are excellent, well worth the ClickFunnels subscription price.
With this you receive Actionetics (Clickfunnel’s auto-responder), and the Backpack affiliate system. If you’re looking to make Clickfunnels your all-in-one tool, even including list building, then this is what you need!
If you are doing a live YouTube webinar within a Thrive Themes site, or webinar replays within a Thrive Themes site, you can have an offer section reveal after a certain period of time. This can include a button linking to an external payment system.
Thanks for all the info! I’m trying to figure out how to integrate clickfunnels with WordPress… We are currently building a membership website on WordPress (using memberpress) and built a membership funnel using clickfunnels (I prefer not to use their membership option as it’s too limited for what I need).
After you’ve picked what type of funnel you want to create, then you just have to go into each page, and drag and drop your images, headlines, videos… YOUR message into our pages that are already proven to convert!
The templates are fresh and diverse, but you can work with them further in the editor. All sections of the page are customizable. You can move or remove taglines, videos, footer and testimonials sections.
Us entrepreneurs may not have the “proper” training to code, program or other fancy techy words so we rely on engineers to do all this stuff for us. But, if you are a growing small business, you aren’t necessarily going to run a hiring campaign for the top programmer out there.
You undoubtedly want visitors on your website to take certain actions. Maybe you want them to make a purchase, sign up, or fill out a form. When someone does something you want them to do, it’s known as a conversion. The visitor converts from browsing to taking the action you want them to take.
Access a wide range and variety of customizable design and function elements such as: Text, Images, Videos, Buttons, Boxes, Columns, Tabbed content, Navigation, Date Stamps, Facebook comments, Script editing, Pre-made backgrounds, And much, much more…
From a newbie point of view, building a sales funnel can seem tough, especially with so many moving parts. Even I found it difficult at first, but the more you practice funnel building with ClickFunnels, the easier and more fun it becomes.
Which is better, to use an opt-in form or a landing page? In the case of an opt-in form, I can use one or more of the 5 different types provided in ThriveLeads and have them display on an existing page. If I use a landing page as the opt-in form, however, I’d (1) have to create a completely new page and (2) I would be limited in the kinds/types of opt-in form types I could use. Am I overthinking this and confusing myself or is there actually an optimal strategy that I’m missing here?
That’s not to say that it’s perfect, and in this ClickFunnels review, I’m going to show you how I’ve been using it and how it compares to Leadpages and other competitors for selling your products and services online.
The stages of a sales funnel differ from company to company. Some have only two steps, while others have upwards of five. Still, others even have mini funnels splitting off from the core funnel like branches from the trunk of a tree.
