IM Creator uses an ultra-flexible drag & drop editor that allows use to move elements like images, text boxes and menu bars to literally anywhere you need to without any restrictions. Its one of the few editors that truly offers users full creative control over the placement of your content and let’s you design your own as you prefer.
In addition to that, the reason why I’m suggesting Weebly (given you’re short of time) is that they give you access to edit the HTML / CSS codes so you can make custom tweaks to the design if you want to. It sounds like this is something you can take advantage of given you know how to work with codes and that your customer wants a customized design. The other website makers don’t give you as much access (or no access at all) to the codes of the website.

We tested dozens of website builders to see which one would be best for small business owners, and we decided that Weebly, Wix, and WordPress are the top three options. We chose these three because they are very popular, and represent a wide range of features. Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.
Yes it is possible. When signing up for your WordPress hosting account, you can use the temporary domain provided by your host. Once your website is ready you can change your domain name settings and point it to your hosting provider.

One thing we are still struggling to get an overview of, and would be good to add to your awesome comparison chart (if it gets updated), is the availability/rating of the CMS that users can use to update the site after you leave it with someone. It’s useful to be able to hand over a website with different levels of access for users e.g. overall admin, designers, content writers etc. Also how good the interface is, if is saves the revision history etc.
Next, let’s discuss the versatility of Clickfunnels. Once you have created your sales page, customized the colors the way that you want them and added your own images and branding, you still have some customization available to you.
I have 2 websites that I have build several years ago on Frontpage, one is a personal one and one is for our business. There is no shopping cart (and not sure yet we want that but we want that option).
If you’re unclear how to start, I would take a look at Russell’s own multi-million dollar sales funnels to give you inspiration. Read his book DotComSecrets where he explains exactly the why and how of creating sales funnels and how to tell stories to sell your products.
Email Marketing (You’ll still need standalone email service providers such as Drip, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or Campaign Monitor). If you have a huge list of subscribers (or multiple lists), your email marketing costs will make up for a sizable chunk of your budget.
The easiest website builder to use in our view is Weebly, and you can sign up for free as well. I’d suggest you use their blogging function, so that others can leave comments on your blog posts. Hope this is helpful!
Jimdo is a somewhat quirky website builder targeted largely at novice users, but it’s well worth your attention for a number of reasons, not the least of which is a free plan which boasts more than the average offering.
I can tell you right now that if we’d had all the answers in one place like this, then we would’ve spent a lot less time scratching our heads in confusion and more time designing great websites, that’s for sure!
I just wanted to say thank you for all of the information you have put together and how well organized and written that it is. It really helped me understand website building and builders and gave me a really good sense of what would be the best fit for me.

… and what you’ll do is you’ll go through each page right so the squeeze page gets set up you go into your sales page it’s gonna want to know the specifics so they’ve got kind of like generic text that’s in there it’s designed to be kind of a mental trigger for you if you don’t have copywriting skills or if you don’t have a copywriter but now again we’re in the sales page and it wants us to pick what our sales video is and I would just make sure I match it to the one I did right so I want the same colors I want the same look and I just follow that theme all the way through the order form is already built for you it’s already tied in to stripe.
The landing page builder in ClickFunnels is extremely easy to use. It has a drag-and-drop user interface that anyone can pick up and understand in minutes. Adding a headline, picture or any other element to the page is as easy as dragging and dropping it into place.
These ClickFunnels alternatives include Instapage and Leadpages, which can be used to build engaging, conversion-optimized landing pages for lead gen, and email marketing platforms like Infusionsoft and GetResponse for following up with your customers.

Thanks for all the info. I am a first timer and looking for a basic site, easy(ish) to build and economical to run. My main query concerns something not addressed here (I dont think). If I build a website (using my macbook air) will the site be viewable by others on iPads, iPhones, and tablets etc as so many people use mobile devices these days
I haven’t seen a platform that offers that before, but I’m sure it’s achievable if you make some extensive modifications. I would suggest you check out Shopify (the ecommerce builder) and see if some of the Shopify Experts can help you tweak the platform to achieve what you want.
I want to start a website for my general contracting business. I am a smaller builder but very diverse in the types of projects that I do. I want a website that customers can access to see everything my company offers with descriptions and photos. Do any of the builders listed fit better for this than another?
