I use wordpress at work, but it was already set up for us; it’s fairly easy to use but I only have to create new posts and add text to them, nothing else. I was leaning away from wordpress mainly because of the amount of plugins necessary and the amount of time it would take for me to resize images, find the plugins, security updates, etc.
I am looking to set up a website and e-commerce builder for a small business that I have created. It deals in custom order pens and has many different variations on what can be ordered. I don’t know what to start with seeing that Wix, Weebly, and Square Space are on your list for E-Commerce store builders as well as this one. Any help is appreciated,

When you create a website, you need a place for your website to be stored, which is known as hosting. You also need a name for your website that people can type in when they want to view your site. This is called the domain. A custom domain is when your site has a name that you choose, such as www.yourbusiness.com.

I’m not intimately familiar with Wix’s templates (but I do enjoy browsing through them as they look so professional!), but I think you’re on the right track. I looked at the 3 templates you suggested and they all look really good! Other ones that I spotted are “Jewelry Designer” and “Bow Tie Store”.
This is my website/blog and 95% of the articles are written by me (Rhys). KT has done some guest posts on my blog such as this one, best passive income streams. I’ve done over 100 articles on this blog over the last 18 months.
Wix does offer you a blank template if you want to design your own design. It’s a useful option if you know exactly what you want and don’t mind investing the time to create it. It’s pretty simple as it’s all drag and drop, but it will take a bit of time as you are starting from scratch. Or else they have over 500 templates for you to choose from.
When it comes to blogging, Divi is the hands-down winner. It is a WordPress theme, and WordPress is a dedicated blogging platform. Weebly comes in at a close second. Wix is also good, but inexplicably does not have a built-in comment feature, meaning your readers have to be logged into Facebook or some other platform to comment.
“I knew I was leaving money on the table with affiliate marketing. It was only once I picked up Odi’s course that I shot up from $500 to $8,000 per month! I’ll be honest… I’m as lazy as it gets when it comes to affiliate marketing. It’s my third side business and I barely have any time for it so it’s been crazy to see what can be done with so little work. Odi – Thank you, thank you, thank you for help tightening up a really sloppy side of my business! I stand by this course and the methodology.”
“H” means Heading. Very simplistically, when used, it tells Google that it is something worth emphasizing, or is a section divider. So when Google crawls and reads the content on your site, having these headings will help it understand a bit better what your content is about. H1 has a much higher emphasis than H6. So for some users, having better control over headings can help you better communicate what you are trying to emphasize on the page.
I tried to do Site Builder.com and the first thing they asked after taking my CC info was that I should send a copy of the CC and my drivers license. No company has ever asked me for that before. Is this unusual? A little worried here.
ClickFunnels page editor is super simple, in fact our designers love it – it’s their favourite editor of them all. They can design right in the system without needing to create a photoshop mockup and they don’t need to know any code.
The next step is going to be adding your own branding. Clickfunnels not only offers customizability with templates and funnels; they also offer a great deal of customizability with your own images and logos.
Weebly is the type of website builder which helps people personalize the preset templates. The admin panel is one of the first places someone should visit after they choose their theme. There are a lot of settings and options which allow you to give your website a dash of “you” and make it feel unique.
Given how prosperous the field of marketing is, there’s no wonder that there are various solutions to sales funnel management. One of the tools we recently discussed is LeadPages. As we mentioned, LeadPages is more of a specialist tool. It allows you to create landing pages with ease using its drag and drop editor. However, LeadPages is excellent at building landing pages… and that is it. On the other hand, ClickFunnels is much more comprehensive and offers more marketing back for your buck, albeit being inferior when it comes to landing page design.
i have the ambition to this idea that i have but surely it doesn’t seem like it would be easy ,or cheap, and that’s alright because that may mean that it could be worth it who knows right?!. but tell me would you have any suggestions about a good developer ? i hope i’m not asking a too much. Thanks again
The only con is that Weebly is not quite as customizable as some website platforms, including WordPress. However, Weebly is much easier to use, which is why we recommend it for most small business owners.
I have a small business that is just starting out in which we teach surf, stand up paddle boarding, fitness, ocean education and safety, etc. a feature I would like to have is for customers to be able to book a lesson or package online and pay a deposit to reserve spot. Do any of the site builders accommodate this? Also, am I reading correctly in that you only get eCommerce on weebly if you sign up for their premier ($25) plan? Whereas squarespace you get at least some eCommerce in their lesser priced plans? Thank you for this review and your feedback.
If you want to control your website with a lot of flexibility, I’d definitely suggest WordPress. Other solutions can be a lot costlier and more challenging to manage (such as Joomla or Drupal). WordPress is probably the best “bang for your buck” when it comes to the amount of effort it takes to learn (or pay to have things configured / set up for you), versus the flexibility it offers you.
