If you are familiar with basic coding, you can create a basic xml template with readymade softwares installed on your computer and then transport it to your desired platform. Artisteer is my favorite. This process is a bit complicated, thogh. This is created with Arstisteer and hoisted on to Blogger.
Wix does offer you a blank template if you want to design your own design. It’s a useful option if you know exactly what you want and don’t mind investing the time to create it. It’s pretty simple as it’s all drag and drop, but it will take a bit of time as you are starting from scratch. Or else they have over 500 templates for you to choose from.
Jeremy, I want to help Miguel Andrango, an 80 yr. old native Ecuadorean weaver, build a website to display photos & a YouTube video of him at his loom. He is the last weaver using the ancient back strap loom, carding /spinning methods& all natural dyes. He wants to preserve these traditional crafts. The goal is to encourage international travelers to visit his workshop at his mountainside village for free demonstrations and to enable people to make donations toward a small museum he wants to establish at his home.. Does the free version of Weebly have the features we’d need? The website should be simple, trouble free.and free or very low cost. Many thanks for your advice!
Hi, How can I be sure that all of the above are legitimate services? I am not trustworthy, and internet companies taking my credit card or payment details sound a bit risky. Are they listed with any accredited directories or somehow regulated? Thank you for your list and blog.
Clickfunnels, co-founded by Russell Brunson, is actually one of three products in an all in one platform called the ‘Etison Suite’ released in their 2.0 version. Their second product is Actionetics which is a communication system that enables you to interact with all your leads and buyers in an individual way through email and text message based on their actions on your site (or funnels). It also pulls in data from all of their social profiles to let you know how likely they are to purchase from you – their action score. It enables you to replace your existing autoresponders with ‘action funnels’ within the software.
Hello, Thank you for the great info. Just a correction, Weebly does not offer a free domain. In fact, you pay a whopping $40 USD for a single domain through Weebly. Then they make you get your email address through Google Apps for another whopping $45 USD. Also, they do not notify customers of charges to their credit cards. Not even a courtesy email receipt. I once was a happy Weebly customer. I’m super turned off and will be closing out all of my sites and re-building elsewhere.
For international support, I know that Jimdo has multiple support teams around the world, including in the US, UK, Spain, France, Italy, Russia, Portugal, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Japan and China.
Write and publish an ebook and sell it on Amazon. It will take time at the beginning but once you publish it, it will likely generate a great source of income if promoted right. You don’t have to write a book yourself if you don’t want to. You can hire a ghostwriter on Upwork or Fiverr then publish it on Amazon Kindle direct publishing.
I began with a single opt-in gift, and because I’m a total “non-techie”, I immediately hired a developer to custom code special opt-in boxes for me into my blog. She was lovely and did a great job, but truthfully it was a major pain in the ass — between costs and timelines, it was hard not to throw in the towel some days.
I am wondering if I should use Squarespace which is esthetically beautiful vs using shopify which is more business oriented . I also have a dilemma since I am in Canada the templates don`t seem the same as they do in the video posted for squarepace it looks a lot more limited. I don’t know if its just an impression but It seems that not all of the website builder are equipped the same as for wix which is what I have used before it clearly indicates that theres the old version and the newest version. I did not get the new version as the one4s in the recent youtube videos.Does the Ip address come into play? I am also wondering if shopify is not as esthetic does it not have a more suitable e-commerce plateform for small businesses.
Nubook uses a clever, clean and easy-to-figure out design. It allows users to easily change the theme designs with just a few clicking motions. You get to use a simple drag and drop editor that you use to switch between your pages and your themes. We like the design and how easy it is to use. The large number of templates is a great feature as well.
In any case, I would always suggest creating backups of your content, even if you save the text as MS Word or Google Documents. That way you’re always covered and can re-post or recover things quickly if needed.
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re solid and get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections.
Webs offers a pretty solid eCommerce platform suitable for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Although the Free plans allow you to add PayPal buttons virtually anywhere on your site, the Premium really help unlock deeper eCommerce functionalities for your business.
We haven’t tested Strikingly thoroughly so we don’t have a firm opinion about them. Sorry about that. But Squarespace is a solid website builder so if you feel comfortable with them after testing them out (14 day free trial), they’re awesome too!
When using a free version of any website building tool for site creation, your site will always display the builder’s ads. While in some cases they are barely visible, in others they will catch the visitors’ eye, and distract them from your website’s content. Moreover, it is very difficult to monetize a using a free tool as you don’t have the option of inserting your own advertising code.
“I believe that their current success is an extension of their values and beliefs, and is why thousands of the world’s top marketers and entrepreneurs attend their Traffic and Conversion Summit each spring.”
Did I mention it has easy, visual split-testing capability BUILT-IN? FunnelFlux is so simple to use I think even complete noobs could quickly become very profitable with it. Thanks, FunnelFlux… You’ve raised the funnel tracking bar very high indeed.
ClickFunnels is an excellent marketing tool for building profitable sales funnels and was purely designed for that one purpose from the ground up. It is not the cheapest product in the world ($97 basic level, $297 for all the valuable features), but it can save you the cost of several other products that you will no longer need, which may actually make it the cheaper option.*
Founder of Opesta a Facebook Messenging platform, Ethan Sigmon has years of experience running Facebook ads for people like John Lee Dumas and SumoMe. He is now leading the way on how to use Messenger to connect with your customers better than AI can. He reveals the tactics and tools he is using to understand and work with his clients and prospects through “behavioral segmentation”.
I think the best way to find out what works best for you is to sign up for 2 – 3 website builders based on our discussion points above, and just invest some time to test them out. There isn’t a “perfect” website builder out there, so it’s important to try a few of them to see which one suits your needs the best.
One of the things that makes website builders easy to use is templates. Templates act as a guide to help you build a stunning website in a matter of minutes, versus building it from scratch. But it’s important to look at how customizable these templates are to meet your needs. Some templates are a bit restrictive and only allow you to edit/replace content within the set design. Other templates are truly drag and drop, allowing you to move any object or piece of content to any area on the page. For example, Wix is fully customizable while Weebly has more restrictive templates. Both kinds of template options can be beneficial to you depending upon your needs.

The best approach for a Life Long Learner is to develop competency on at least one topic deep enough to be able to monetize it, and THEN employ the resources derived from that competency to explore other topics.
Weebly has been introducing more advanced designs and tools lately, and they are still able to ensure that these features are easy to use which stays true to Weebly’s core competency – making website building easy.
I am a new owner of a restaurant and we already have a website through WordPress. I’m not fond of our website now, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can. It appears that Squarespace is the solution for us. Would you share a few words of advice to see if I’m on the right track? Pub/Restaurant, sells clothes, etc… but we don’t have an online store (yet). Pretty standard stuff beyond that.
Wix offers over 500 beautifully designed templates that are all available even to WIX Free users. They feature the latest design trends and are fully responsive. Whether you’re a seasoned designer or have no design skills, the templates will make a good impression with their polished, professional looks.
People love watching videos. Videos rank highly in the search engines these days. You can use videos to promote your online business. If you are good at creating videos, you won’t spend money promoting your business. You just create your videos and submit them on video sharing websites.
Like Wix, we found tech support was a little wobbly in terms of sluggish responses, but Weebly offers a host of powerful features, some very stylish templates, and easy access to free images for your site is another definite boon.
The features also include Heatmaps (for ultra-specific insights to user behaviour that can help you improve the page performance), Instablocks (or custom blocks that can be reused for quickly creating post-click landing pages) and Collaboration Solution (for real time collaborations with the teammates and clients to streamline and expedite the page design process).
